Aerial - rerelease (2022)

    Aerial was originally released in 2014 on Deutsche Grammophon and now the journey of the album continues with Sono Luminus in a remastered version by Daniel Shores. The orchestra piece Aeriality is at the centre of the album which also features Into Second Self, Ró, Tactility, Trajectories and Shades of Silence as well as Aura, which was not on the original release.

    Here, on my Bandcamp page, the album is only available as a physical copy.

    into - Second Self (2012) for 7 brass & 4 percussion. Performed by Frank Aarnink, percussion, Stefán Jón Bernharðsson, horn, & Sigurður Þorbergsson, trombone. Recorded at Sundlaugin studios by Birgir Jón Birgisson. Tonmeister, Kjartan Sveinsson. Editing and mixing, Birgir Jón Birgirsson. 

    Ró (2013) for flute, bass clarinet, piano, percussion, violin I, violin II, viola & cello. Performed by CAPUT Ensemble, conducted by Guðni Franzson. Recorded at Guðríðarkirkja by Georg Magnússon. Tonmeister, Daníel Bjarnason. 

    Aeriality (2011) for orchestra. Performed by the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, conducted by llan Volkov. Recorded at Harpa Concert Hall by Studio Sýrland at a live concert on February 26th 2013. Editing and mixing, Sveinn Kjartansson. 

    Tactility, movements Ill, I & II (2013) for harp & percussion. Performed by Duo Harpverk, edited and produced by Anna Thorvaldsdottir. Recorded at Greenhouse Studios by Paul Evans. Tonmeister, Anna Thorvaldsdottir. 

    Trajectories (2013) for piano & electronics. Performed by Tinna Þorsteinsdottir and Anna Thorvaldsdottir. Recorded at Guðríðarkirkja by Anna Thorvaldsdottir. 

    Shades of Silence (2012) for violin, viola, cello & harpsichord. Performed by Nordic Affect on baroque instruments. Recorded at RÚV Studios by Georg Magnússon. Tonmeister Anna Thorvaldsdottir.
